The holarctic Common merganser (Mergus merganser) is, fortuitous, the most common species of mergansers with an increasing population. The Brazilian merganser (Mergus octosetaceus) on the other hand, is critically endangered and its population is still decreasing. Find out more about these and other types of mergansers at the new pages which have been added today.
