Welcome to Harteman Wildfowl Aviaries, a private facility in the Netherlands with a focus on the aviculture and conservation of waterfowl. Harteman Wildfowl contributes to the global knowledge and conservation of the world's Anseriformes by sharing hands-on experience and participating in international ex-situ breeding programmes.

A new podcast series on Spotify

October 2025 | We have just launched a new experimental podcast: a series of podcast episodes using Artificial Intiligence (AI). This is an experiment to share the passion for waterfowl conservation with a broader audience. The podcast is AI-generated with the input of proper and (semi) scientific sources, which are mentioned in the shownotes of each episode. The podcast uses artificial voices, it is not recorded with real human voices. It (the experiment) is a deep dive for me and a it (the show) is a deep dive into the world of ducks, geese and swans. 

 

The podcast is titled "Wildfowl Insights" and every episode features a particular species, its natural history, conservation status and avicultural challenges. I hope you will enjoy it. Please send any feedback!
